Day 01 Welcome to Delhi

Welcome aboard! Upon arrival at Delhi's airport our representative will greet you and swiftly escort you to your accommodation. If you arrive early you can explore some of Delhi's renowned sites or relax at the hotel to overcome jetlag. At noon we'll have a group meeting, your tour leader will convene with you and your fellow travellers to go over the details of the tour. After the meeting we dive deep into the heart of Delhi's bustling rhythm. Experience a slice of daily life as you observe the afternoon routine of typical Delhi residents while travelling aboard the Metro to Old Delhi. In Old Delhi, modernity overlays the ancient cityscape.Wander through its labyrinthine alleys where remnants of ornate houses whisper tales of a bygone era. Discover the grandeur of Jama Masjid India's largest mosque. Embrace the quintessential Delhi experience by hopping onto a rickshaw, a timeless mode of transportation and journey to Sis Ganj Gurudwara to gain insights into the Sikh religion. If you're feeling adventurous join the group for an optional dinner to exchange today's exciting experiences and make new friends.

Day 02 Agra

We kick off our day with an early morning train journey to the iconic city of Agra with a travel time of approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival immerse yourself in the opulent history of the region as you step under the arches of the Agra Fort, uncovering its intertwined narrative with the Taj Mahal. Similar to Old Delhi, Agra seamlessly blends elements of the past and present. Artisans and craftsmen continue to preserve age-old traditions, offering an opportunity to visit them in the afternoon. Conclude the day with a late afternoon or sunset visit to the Taj Mahal the epitome of eternal love. As the sun casts a mesmerising glow upon its marble façade, bask in the enchanting ambiance of this timeless monument. It's a day filled with historical marvels and cultural richness, offering unforgettable insights into Agra's illustrious past.

Day 03 Jaipur

Get set for an exciting adventure today as we embark on a private bus journey to Jaipur the bustling capital of Rajasthan, spanning approximately 6 hours. While Jaipur may be undergoing changes, it remains deeply rooted in its love for movie traditions. Upon arrival brace yourself for a thrilling ride through the lively streets of the original Pink City. Take a moment to capture a photo at the iconic Hawamahal resembling a majestic layered cake from afar. Next, prepare to be awe-struck by the majestic Amber Fort situated atop one of the world's oldest hills. Dive into the vibrant chaos of the Old City where every street showcases a fashion extravaganza and every shop holds treasures waiting to be discovered. It's time to shop, dance and immerse yourself in the colourful energy of Jaipur, transforming it into a vibrant masterpiece reminiscent of Holi festivities. Get ready for an unforgettable experience!

Day 04 Jaipur

After enjoying breakfast we set off through Jaipur's vibrant streets and ochre-colored buildings of the Old City to visit its most iconic landmark, the Amber Fort. Along the way we make stops at the HawaMahal (Palace of Winds) and the JalMahal (Water Palace) for quick photo opportunities. Although there are numerous attractions in Jaipur, it's impossible to cover everything in just one day. However, a great starting point would be the fascinating Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century stone observatory. Opposite this observatory lies the City Palace, which houses artifacts belonging to the Jaipur Royals. For those looking to explore beyond forts and palaces, witness the creation of block prints, a traditional art form of Jaipur that offers a captivating experience. With so much to discover Jaipur promises to captivate and enchant visitors with its rich history and cultural heritage.

Day 05 Varanasi

Today we embark on a flight to Varanasi, a city renowned for its unique spirituality that epitomizes the essence of India. Along the eastern bank of the River Ganges we stroll amidst the Ghats, witnessing the daily rituals and activities that unfold along its sacred waters. Here, the river provides sustenance to ascetics, devout pilgrims and ordinary individuals seeking answers to life's profound questions. Varanasi buzzes with constant activity where temple bells harmonise with the calls of boatmen, tea vendors and kite flyers. Spend the afternoon immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the city, soaking in its sights and sounds. As evening descends embark on a boat ride to witness the mesmerising flower ceremony and the captivating rituals that unfold along the riverbanks, offering a profound insight into the spiritual fabric of Varanasi.

Day 06 Varanasi

Tonight we eagerly anticipate Diwali Night, a celebration of lights symbolising the triumph of good over evil. It's a time for lighting lamps, setting off fireworks, sharing sweets and offering prayers for prosperity and happiness. Families come together filling the air with joy and merriment, celebrating the victory of positivity and virtue. Our day begins at dawn gliding gracefully across serene waters as life along the Ghats awakens. Witness the devout silently paying homage to the rising sun amidst the clamor of terns overhead. Experience the city coming to life as people gather along the riverbank, choreographed by the rhythm of time. Immerse yourself in the vibrant tapestry of daily life, from the simple splash of a bather to the flicker of an earthen candle. After our tranquil dawn boat ride we'll return to the hotel for breakfast. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy freely until we gather later to celebrate the festival.

Day 07 Lumbini

Early this morning, we set off for Nepal, embarking on a long journey that spans approximately 10 hours. While a packed breakfast will be provided, lunchtime arrangements will depend on traffic and road conditions. It's a massive day on the road, so take the opportunity to relax and unwind. Catch up on reading that book you've been meaning to finish, listen to music or indulge in a well-deserved nap. Upon reaching the India-Nepal border, we'll take care of a few formalities before continuing our journey. Afterward, a one-hour drive will bring us to our accommodation in Lumbini, where we can rest and rejuvenate after the day's travels.

Day 08 Chitwan

The day begins with a visit to the Maya Devi Temple, believed to be the exact site of Buddha's birth. Following this, we embark on a scenic drive to Chitwan, approximately a 6-hour journey from Lumbini. Upon reaching Chitwan, we stretch our legs and leisurely cycle through the picturesque surroundings, passing by mustard fields and small tribal villages. While cycling, we may encounter the occasional rhino shopping for local products in the middle of the street, but there's no need for concern—simply continue riding! After a day filled with activities, we have the opportunity to visit a local family and enjoy a meal prepared exclusively for us. It's a chance to immerse ourselves in the warmth of Nepalese hospitality and savour authentic flavours amidst the serene ambiance of Chitwan.

Day 09 Chitwan

After a delightful breakfast we embark on a traditional dugout canoe, gently gliding along the serene currents of the Rapti River to begin our thrilling jungle safari. Amidst the tall grass, elusive one-horned rhinos play hide-and-seek, while stealthy sloth bears navigate the secretive world of whispering reeds. It's important to remember that catching a glimpse of these elusive creatures is purely a matter of luck. Nature operates on its own schedule, revealing its wonders when it sees fit. So, let's approach this wild expedition with anticipation, understanding that each moment holds the potential for a serendipitous encounter with the untamed beauty of the jungle.

Day 10 Bandipur

Today we embark on a scenic 4-hour drive to Bandipur, renowned for its preserved old-time cultural atmosphere. Nestled amidst the mountains of Nepal, Bandipur offers a glimpse into traditional village life. Upon arrival we'll take a leisurely stroll around the surrounding village, immersing ourselves in the charming simplicity of mountain life. Witness the locals going about their daily routines, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. Bandipur's cobbled streets and well-preserved architecture evoke a sense of nostalgia, transporting visitors to a bygone era. As we explore the village, we'll have the opportunity to interact with residents and learn about their customs and traditions. It's a chance to experience the serene beauty and cultural richness of rural Nepal, leaving us with lasting memories of this enchanting destination.

Day 11 Pokhara

After breakfast we depart for Pokhara. Upon arrival we'll take a leisurely walk to acquaint ourselves with the city and its surroundings. Pokhara, one of the most picturesque cities in Nepal, boasts a skyline dominated by the majestic Annapurna Range, overlooking the serene Phewa Lake. It is a haven for adventure enthusiasts, offering thrilling activities such as bungee jumping, paragliding and trekking. Whether you seek adrenaline-pumping experiences or simply wish to soak in the breathtaking scenery, Pokhara has something for everyone. As we explore the city we'll marvel at its natural beauty and vibrant atmosphere, immersing ourselves in the unique charm that makes Pokhara a must-visit destination in Nepal.

Day 12 Pokhra

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel. Today offers the perfect opportunity to explore Pokhara's attractions such as the Peace Pagoda, Devi’s Falls and Mahendra caves, or simply relax at one of the lakeside restaurants and soak in the picturesque views. Indulge in an afternoon boat ride on Phewa Lake, where you can listen to the soothing sound of oars gently caressing the water. Afterward, head to dinner and savour the flavours of Nepalese cuisine amidst the serene ambiance of Pokhara. Whether you choose to embark on adventures or unwind by the lakeside, make the most of this free day to create unforgettable memories in this charming city.

Day 13 Katmandu

After a hearty breakfast we set off for our final destination this morning: Kathmandu. Today, we embark on a scenic hour-long flight to the country's capital. Upon arrival we find ourselves immersed in a bustling world of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops selling mountain gear as we explore the streets of Thamel. Once we reach our destination, you'll have free time to engage in optional activities. You may choose to spend some time at Boudhnath Stupa, observing the constant flow of visitors. Alternatively, visit Pashupatinath Temple where Hindus perform last rites or climb up to Swayambunath Temple for panoramic city views. Closer to Thamel, stroll through the medieval setting of Darbar Square experiencing Kathmandu's rich history, culture and religion. Sample local cuisine at nearby restaurants and if time permits, indulge in some last-minute souvenir shopping before joining the group for our farewell dinner.

Day 14 Departure

As our journey comes to a close it's time to bid farewell to our tour leader and the friends we've made along the way who have contributed to making this adventure truly unforgettable. Departure transfers are all arranged for today but do keep in mind that most hotels have a check-out time of noon—please verify this with your tour leader or the hotel reception.
