Best time to visit: The best time to visit Uganda is during the dry season which runs from June to September. During this time the weather is warm and sunny with little rain. However, it is important to note that the dry season is also the peak tourist season so prices will be higher and crowds will be larger.

Currency: The currency in Uganda is the Ugandan shilling (UGX). It is important to note that the UGX is a weak currency so it is best to exchange your money before you arrive in Uganda.

Weather and average temperature: The climate in Uganda varies depending on the region. The central and southern parts of the country have a tropical climate with average temperatures ranging from 25-30 degrees Celsius. The northern part of the country has a more temperate climate with average temperatures ranging from 15-25 degrees Celsius.

National Language: The official language of Uganda is English. However, there are over 40 other languages spoken in the country including Luganda, Swahili and Acholi.

Top dishes to try: Rolex: A popular street food made with eggs, chapati and vegetables, Mishkaki: Skewered meat that is grilled over an open fire, Nyama choma: Grilled meat that is typically served with ugali (a type of cornmeal), Ugali: A type of cornmeal that is often served with stew or soup, Posho: A type of white maize flour that is often served with stew or soup.
